Ingredients:
1 19oz can of Chickpeas (drained & rinsed under cold water)
4 tbsp water
4 tbsp Chilli Paste (found in the ethnic food section of grocery store) + extra for garnish
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 tbsp Tahini (sesame seed paste)
1/2 tbsp dried Cilantro + extra for garnish
1/2 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp salt
Add chickpeas to food processor, blend on high for approx 3 minutes. (scrape down sides using spatula)
Add water, chilli paste, salt, cilantro, garlic powder, Tahini, olive oil, lemon juice.
Blend for another 3 minutes, stopping to scrape down sides of processor between each minute.
Add hummus to bowl , smooth out top.
Set aside 1 tbsp hummus and add an extra 1 tbsp of chilli paste to the mix.
Top the hummus with this extra spicy mixture.
Garnish with dried Cilantro.
